Midsection of the USA is hit by waves of storms and bitter cold

The threat to winter storms tripled was rolling towards the midsection of the USA on Sunday, posing a threat to headaches for travelers throughout this week when people in the Upper Midwest hunkered down in bitter cold and winds chills that could be as low as the minus-50 degree mark.

At the very least, three storms will cause the risk of snow

and ice from the weekend to Wednesday.  AccuWeather reported. The storms will be fuelled by the moisture that is coming off of the Gulf of Mexico and colder air moving south. In some regions where the rain will remain almost all day long, AccuWeather said. “Cold air will plummet into the south enough to create a combat zone for the duration of the time,” AccuWeather senior meteorologist Alex Sosnowski said. A major issue is an ice-like coating that could create unsafe travel conditions for travelers starting from the eastern part of Oklahoma to northern Arkansas as well as southern Missouri He said.

In certain areas in USA, it’s just absurdly cold.

In the National Weather Service office in Pocatello, Idaho, warned of temperatures that could exceed -10 degrees in certain regions. A warning for flooding was extended to Monday afternoon on the Hawaiian islands of Big Island, Oahu and all Maui County islands, said the Hawaii’s Emergency Management Agency, adding that “the possibility of downpours, flooding and landslides, winds-toppled trees, and general chaos continues!

Certain areas that are part of Southern Plains and Ohio Valley will experience ice-free weather. The duration of the week as per AccuWeather. “A storm of cold air moving to the south across the country could create wintry rain possible from Texas up to Kentucky,” said AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Bill Deger.
