Steph Curry dunks after six years, calls it his last
Steph Curry did something that is rarely seen in his lengthy, dazzling career with just over seven minutes remaining in the Golden State Warriors game against the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday. He dunked for the first time in six years, and possibly the last time as well.
Curry later told reporters, “It’s likely going to be my last dunk.” “I’m giving it a call immediately. You won’t see another one like that.
Curry scored 29 points and dished out 13 assists to lead the Warriors, but without Jimmy Butler, they lost 119-126 to the 76ers on Saturday, ending their five-game winning streak.
Even though he has the NBA three-point record, Curry’s dunks are significantly less common; a YouTube reel of all of his dunks only lasts six minutes, and he can still recall every detail of his most recent one from six years ago.
“Six years ago.” in the house. right wing. the corner on the right. A little back cut. “I believe that KD (Kevin Durant) made a pass,” he stated. “I was at Oracle.” At Chase (Center), I never dunked. What about that?
“I’ve been feeling rather well. I’ve spent the entire year performing knee exercises. Additionally, you want to seize a cherry-pick opportunity,” Curry continued. “Going up there took everything out of me.”
Curry subsequently pointed to the bench, toward the Warriors’ assistant coach Jerry Stackhouse, as the audience erupted in celebration of witnessing such an uncommon sight following his dunk.
Curry remarked, “It’s ironic that Stackhouse said he wanted to see a dunk at shooter run this morning.”
“It happened tonight, which is kind of funny, and he hadn’t said that all year. I haven’t heard that in years.” This morning’s comment was incredibly arbitrary.
Curry gave it his all, but a reckless offense and Quentin Grimes of Philadelphia, who scored a career-high 44 points, destroyed the Warriors.
