Apple has added new capabilities to iOS 17.1 for Apple Music, StandBy & AirDrop
Apple released its most recent big upgrade, which includes new capabilities, after last month’s release of iOS 17. The majority of iPhone models from the recent generation can now download iOS 17.1. The StandBy and AirDrop functionalities have been modified in the most recent operating system version. According to the corporation, some capabilities might not be available on Apple devices or in some areas.
According to Apple, the update also fixed and enhanced a number of problem issues, including keyboards that were unresponsive and the inability to see caller names when on another call.
Following the September release of the iPhone 15, Apple introduced iOS 17, which included enhancements and new features like FaceTime and live voicemail screening. One of these updates was the capability to design fresh, personalized images for calls coming from a contact.
Here are the details of the new features in iOS 17.1
AirDrop transfers over the internet are now possible outside of the normal range. As long as they are online, users can now transfer images and videos from their camera roll even when they leave the AirDrop service area.
Additional controls for the StandBy clock display feature. The StandBy feature, which activates a clock display when your phone is plugged in and turned to the side, was added in the most recent big update. New control settings for the display’s off-screen time have been added to iOS 17.1.
Apple Music extends its selection of favorites and adds new cover art. Users of Apple Music can now access new cover art sets including color-changing graphics to better capture the mood of a playlist with iOS 17.1.
Additionally, songs, albums, and playlists that are easily filterable in the user library may now be found in the favorites area, and playlists now have song recommendations at the bottom.
Who is able to get iOS 17.1?
Later iPhone models and generations, such as the iPhone XR, XS, and XS Max, the iPhone SE (at least the second generation), the iPhone 11, iPhone 12, iPhone 13, and iPhone 14, can update to iOS 17, according to Apple. The update is not available for iPhone models released earlier.
