BCCI Awards ₹21 Crore For Asia Cup Win
Following their victory over Pakistan, the BCCI announced an award of ₹21 crore for the Indian cricket team and support crew that won the Asia Cup. This award honors their tournament-unbeaten record, which is a noteworthy accomplishment for Indian cricket.
The Indian cricket team and its support staff will get ₹21 crore in prize money, according to the BCCI, for their flawless performance in the just-finished Asia Cup, where they won.
Following the team’s five-wicket victory over bitter rivals Pakistan in Sunday’s tournament final in Dubai, the Board made the statement.
“The BCCI has announced a cash award of ₹21 crore in favor of the players and support staff who are part of the Indian team in the Asia Cup as part of celebrations because it was an extraordinary victory,” BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia told PTI.
The body did not, however, provide specifics regarding the fund’s division.
“That money will be disbursed, and the Indian cricket board, our squad, and the Indian people will all greatly benefit from this. Saikia continued, “We are incredibly pleased with our cricket players and the support personnel for their outstanding achievement in Dubai.
It’s time to celebrate!
On its social media accounts, the BCCI also sent a joyful message.
“Three strikes. No answer. Asia Cup winners. The message was delivered. In reference to India’s winning streak over Pakistan, it said, “(Rs) 21 crores prize money for the team and support staff.”
In actuality, the Indian squad won all seven of its games and finished the tournament undefeated.
“The unbeaten Asian champions.” Kudos to Team India for defeating Pakistan 3-0 and winning handily. Fantastic performance by @imkuldeep18 and Tilak Verma. “A fantastic performance under duress,” wrote Rajeev Shukla, vice president of the Board.
