Adobe releases Illustrator & Photoshop with Firefly AI-powered capabilities
New Firefly tools for Illustrator and Photoshop have been introduced by Adobe, enabling users to create and edit in more creative ways. The US software business has disclosed that to speed up work, Illustrator and Photoshop would include several AI-powered tools and workflow improvements.
Generative Shape Fill (beta) is a noteworthy feature
that lets users add complex vector details to shapes by typing text-based prompts into the Contextual Taskbar. The Dimension Tool allows projects to be sized quickly and accurately, while Mockup (beta) makes it possible to create visual prototypes of artwork on common objects. Style Reference, Text to Pattern (beta), Retype, and Enhanced Selection capabilities are further Illustrator capabilities.
AI-driven improvements are also being made to Photoshop.
One such tool is the Selection Brush Tool, which makes filter application, compositing, and selection easier. Certain sections of the image can be altered non-destructively with the Adjustment Brush Tool. In addition, Marquee Selection provides more accuracy when selecting objects, and Illustrator’s Enhanced Pan and Zoom feature makes navigating complicated documents easier. Additionally being improved are the Type Tool, Contextual Taskbar, and Generate Image functionality.
While some of these new capabilities are now only accessible
through Illustrator and Photoshop beta versions, others are broadly available across both programs. The Photoshop desktop application and web software both have the Selection Brush Tool, Adjustment Brush Tool, Generate Image, and other features. Adobe has reiterated its commitment to creator-friendly AI even as it keeps adding AI-powered digital content production tools to its platform. This commitment guarantees that the rights of creators will be respected and that no customer content will ever be utilized for training.
